Aurelian, Regents of the Marsh

In the realm of Xinthis, the Aurelians stand as a beacon of ancient majesty and regal splendor. Their society is built upon a deep reverence for the past, guided by a monarchical system and a profound loyalty to their Great Houses. From the grand halls of the First House to the humble dwellings of the smaller houses, the Aurelians exemplify nobility, tradition, and an unwavering sense of duty.

At the core of Aurelian society lies the monarchy, with the Herald of the First House, known as the Prince, assuming the highest leadership position. The Prince is not only the embodiment of regal authority but also the custodian of the sacred Laws of the First House, laid down by the first Herald, Prince Aurelian, thousands of years ago. These laws are regarded as absolute and sacred, shaping the moral and legal framework of Aurelian society.

The Great Houses, established beneath the First House, form the pillars of Aurelian governance. Each house is led by a formidable figure known as the Forerunner, who acts as both advisor and representative of their respective house. Together, the Forerunners form an advisory board that guides the Prince in matters of governance and decision-making.

Within the Berdean collective, the Aurelians are revered for their rich traditions and storied history. Their regal demeanor and unwavering loyalty to their Great Houses command respect and admiration from their peers. Outsiders often perceive the Aurelians as a society steeped in grandeur and tradition, with a deeply ingrained sense of honor and duty.

Geopolitically, the Aurelians hold sway over the marshlands of Xinthis. These lush and vibrant territories provide a fertile ground for their agricultural pursuits, nurturing the land and sustaining their people. The marshlands serve as a testament to the Aurelians' ability to adapt and thrive in diverse environments, while their control over these territories ensures their economic prosperity and security.

When interacting with other Berdean nations and outsiders, the Aurelians bring with them an air of dignity and reverence for tradition. Their loyalty to their Great Houses and adherence to the Laws of the First House shape their approach to diplomacy and alliances. They value stability and order, often seeking to maintain the status quo and preserve the balance of power within the Berdean collective.

The Aurelians are custodians of their ancient heritage, proud of their regal lineage and unwavering commitment to their Great Houses. Their society embodies a sense of nobility and duty, fostering a legacy that stretches back through the annals of time. As they navigate the marshlands of Xinthis and engage with other Berdean nations, the Aurelians carry the weight of their history, forging a future where honor and tradition intertwine to shape a prosperous and united realm.
